Frankenstein

Bernie Wrightson's FRANKENSTEIN: This is one of my favorite pieces.  From the first time I saw the ad in Amazing Figure Modeler magazine, I knew it could be a masterpiece.  I made a few modifications from the original kit, the most dramatic of which is the floor - rebuilt out of wood.  I measured and cut the wood into pieces to match the pieces in the vinyl floor.  They were glued and nailed together and then scored to create a faux-wood grain.  Straight pins were nailed in at the appropriate locations.  I gave the rats whiskers and the candles have wicks.  I added several real glass bottles filled with a variety of things.  I didn't like the rat whose tail blocked the nameplate, so I pounded it (white metal) flat , and turned it into the blades on the front of the base.  Besides, I really like the way the copper foil looks on the nameplate.
